FUNDRAISING AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

Worked via a NLCF grant with the Oxfordshire Chinese Community and Advice Centre responding to austerity cuts with a strategy to build financial sustainability, diversify its income, develop partnership working and a more entrepreneurial approach. 

REFUGEE WOMEN SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Working with CEO to separate CIC and Trading Co. and satisfy Regulator after forced move to UK and preparation for Impact Investment.

REGENERATION OF NEGLECTED SITE

Part of consortium exploring London Borough site use, including services for young adults with SEND and opening woodland to community, whilst generating income.

SOCIAL HOUSING ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Working with Orione Care - a charity that provides social housing and residential care to evaluate structures. Supporting implementation of results: strategic planning, redundancies, insourcing, Executive Director recruitment, trustee training.

ADVISING TRUSTEES DURING CLOSURE

Helping trustees spend out funds and close charity after transfer of operations to new CIC.

START UPS MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Working with Founders and new Boards to register, strategise and establish new charities including The Melissa Bell Foundation and 

The Black Fund

STRATEGIC REVIEW & COMMUNITY KITCHEN BUSINESS PLAN 

Led Review of Strategy generating new core priorities plus produced 3-year Business Plan, including potential collaborators and anchor tenant for new Community Kitchen offering true field to fork experience within Oxford City Farm.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND FUNDING

Oversaw property development project, obtained grant funding and identified partners for local charity to collaborate with in operating The Hill - a new £1.1m sports & community centre in partnership with local authority and

Sport England.

Continue to support since Feb 2020 opening, with  £294k 5-year core costs grant from TNLCF.

PRODUCED STRATEGIC & BUSINESS PLAN FOR YOUTH CHARITY

Engaged via competitive tender to develop a 5-year strategic and 3-year business plan for free@last, an amazing charity working with children and families in Birmingham; focusing on maximising the benefit derived from its new £1.5m centre. My work was funded and supported by The National Lottery Community Fund

ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL ENTERPRISE UGANDA

Assisting Eco Brixs, a closed loop recycling, environmental education and disability action social enterprise in Uganda partnering with the Queen's Commonwealth Trust and UK NGO Tear Fund. I managed UK CIO registration, successfully obtained grant funding for expansion and now seeking next steps.
